Before and After Care
Before Care
For best results, you’ll want to shave and exfoliate 12-24 hours before your appointment. Please note, it is very important to not exfoliate the same day as your tan. You’ll want to use an oil free scrub, the oil can potentially be a barrier on the skin which won’t allow the spray tan to absorb or be uneven, which no one wants!
When we meet up for your appointment, make sure you do not have any deodorant, makeup or lotions on your body. We want a nice clean pallet for the tan to adhere to!
If you’re using retinol, stop using it 1-2 days before your tan. For ideal results, moisturize in the days leading up to your tan.
If you’re going to be in the sun in the coming days before your appointment, please be very careful to not get a sunburn. We will not be able to spray sunburnt or peeling skin. After Care
After care is an essential aspect of getting the best results and making your tan last. When it’s time for you to rinse off, you’ll want to rinse with warm water and pat yourself dry. Products with oils, hot water and chlorine will make your tan come off. The best way to keep your tan happy and going strong is to make sure to moisturize with lotion every day, especially if you do a rapid tan. Please note, it is best NOT to use lotion after the first shower. It is also best to wait 24 hours after rinsing to shave. We want to give the tan time to develop even after rinsing.
If you’re using retinol, please wait 1-2 days after your tan. Please go to our FAQ section for more information on caring for and getting the most out of your spray tan.
